Sustaining Smoothie

The Eat in Colour team have specially formulated this sensational smoothie for those mornings over the Christmas party season when you might be feeling a little lacklustre rather than lack lustre. Packed with goodness, it's sure to restore your sparkle.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 2 satsumas
  • 2 bananas
  • 4 handfuls of berries (we suggest a mixture of cranberries, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries)
  • Splash of apple juice
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • 12 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Cube apple and chuck in the blender
  2. Peel and slice oranges, add to blender
  3. Remove tops from strawberries, slice in half, add to blender
  4. Peel the bananas, cut into chunks and add to the blender
  5. Start the blender running, add your berries of choice
  6. Once mixture is fully liquid, begin adding ice cubes one at a time
  7. Now add a splash of apple juice
  8. Finish by adding the honey to sweeten and give the mixture another quick blitz. Serve.
